VISA for Vietnam

Vietnam's new visa policy effective from 15th August 2023 extends stay duration for 13 countries enjoying unilateral visa exemption from 15 days to 45 days, regardless of passport type and entry purpose. The 13 coutries include: Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the UK, Russia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Belarus.
Below is the full list of 25 countries +Kazakhstan that are exempted from visa requirement: Brunei, Myanmar, Belarus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Norway, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, The UK, The Philippines, Cambodia, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Chile, Panama.

Weather

Da Nang has a tropical monsoon climate, typically high and rather invariable temperature. There are two seasons annually: rainy season lasting from August to December and dry season from January to July.

From January to July : During the day, the sun blazes; so bring a sunscreen jacket and lotion. In the evening, t-shirt and shorts are highly recommended for flexibility.
From August to December : Be prepared with a raincoat or umbrella for sudden rain. Also, it is cool and chilly during November and December, a coat is necessary to protect your body.

Language

Vietnamese is the national and official language of Vietnam.
But Vietnam has improved its global ranking in English proficiency, Basic English communication is possible in tourist destinations where there are many foreigners coming and going.

Currency

The official currency of Vietnam is the Vietnamese dong (VND). You can exchange your currency for VND at banks, currency exchange bureaus, and some hotels. The exchange rate between the Vietnamese dong and other currencies fluctuates, so it is best to check the latest exchange rate before you travel. Power Plugs

The voltage supply in Vietnam is 220 volts. Most sockets accommodate plugs with two round prongs. If you need adaptors you can find them at any electrical shop, or ask your hotel for assistance. Power cuts and surges are not common but can happen from time to time depending on the location.

*220V, 50Hz, and Korean electronics can be used, and the plug is the same. (220V, 60Hz in Korea)
